Crestview Manor was the second Assisted Living Facility established by a Council on Aging in the nation. I am fortunate to have been a part of its inception and to have been with the organization to assist in continuing its mission of service to the low-and-modest income elderly and handicapped of Okaloosa County since 1982. I served in a supportive capacity until 2019 when I was asked to assume the position of Administrator. I had the honor to work for the Facility's visionary, Ruth Lovejoy. It was her strong advocacy and commitment to our target population that inspired me to continue her work. Crestview Manor is home to vulnerable adults who can not afford for-profit rents and would otherwise have no place to reside. For over forty years we had served those who need us most.
