Forged on Friday - making a Viking Spear head

This is an advanced class! You need to take Introduction to Blacksmithing before attempting this class. Lots of hammer work plus use of some power tools. In this slightly longer class we include the steel and a pole on which to mount your spearhead. Be ready in case you are charged by a wild boar! For any blacksmithing class please wear cotton or natural fabric clothing, long trousers and solid shoes or boots are required, long sleeve cotton (not flannel) shirt highly recommended. We supply your steel, coal, tools, working materials, gloves, eye and ear protection, plus dust masks when necessary but if you have a leather apron you might want to bring it.
