You have an idea for a business. What’s the first step? The Florida SBDC at UWF/FWB offers “Starting a Business” on Thursday, December 5 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. In this three-hour workshop, we will take an in-depth view of your business concept and discuss the steps needed to a successful start: Is there a need for your product or service? Can you make money at it? Is this business compatible with your personal goals? What rules, laws and licensing apply to your business? Who is your target customer and how will you communicate with them? We will discuss funding options for your business, basic marketing strategies, legal business structures, taxation and the nuts-and-bolts of launching your new venture. Attendance fee is $50 online for the public (required at online registration) and no fee for students and employees of UWF (just call us at 850-586-7809 to register). To register online: www.sbdc.uwf.edu and click on “Training & Events”. Presented by: Synovus
