6th Annual Blue Jean Ball

Ahoy Matey! Tickets are on sale now for Covenant Hospice’s signature event, the 6th Annual Blue Jean Ball, to be held Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 at the Crestview Community Center.

This year’s theme is Magic on the High Seas, and the evening will feature an exciting nautical adventure of swashbucklin’ live entertainment by the Northwest Florida State College Soundsations, plenty of hearty grub from the galley, and adult libations courtesy of Lewis Bear Company and Chautauqua Winery. A silent auction will be available, with gift certificates, artwork, vacation getaways, jewelry and more up for bidding.

In addition, Fred Astaire Dance Studio will sponsor a special competition of “Dancing with the Crestview Stars” which will feature local “celebrities” Bob Jones (Crestview High School), Michael Hamby (Chesser & Barr, P.A.), Sara Fordyce (North Florida Financial) and Marian McBryde (Okaloosa Title and Abstract).

Event tickets are $50 a person and are available at the Covenant Hospice branch office in Crestview, 370 W. Redstone Ave. or online at www.eventsatcovenant.org/bluejeanball. Guests are encouraged to dress in seaworthy attire and costumes, or their favorite blue jeans.

Corporate sponsorships are available and range from $100 to $2,500. All proceeds benefit Covenant Hospice’s special programs in North Okaloosa and North Walton counties. These programs include bereavement services, children's support programs, chaplain services and indigent patient care. Covenant Hospice accepts patients regardless of ability to pay. In 2011, the organization provided over $1.4 million in care for uninsured or under-insured patients facing a terminal illness.
