For the cost of membership dues (starting at $2 for students\, $30 for a family)\, you can stay absolutely free with a host family in Noirmoutier and join the fun as the island community celebrates the 75th anniversary of the arrival on the island of the crew of a liberating American B-17 bomber. There's a week-worth of events planned\, plus an optional two-day excursion to the island monastery of Mont Saint Michel and the Normandy D-Day landing beaches. (Attendees must organize their own airfare and transportation to Nantes\, the nearest large city to Noirmoutier.)
