DESCRIPTION:Purpose of the Program \n\nRescuing young mares and colts that we refer to as kill lot babies when they are just 6-8 weeks old whose mothers are taken away to be slaughtered.  This is not talked about enough although this is a program throughout our Country\, but for those of us who love these animals we travel to all states when called\, whether near or far.  We also rescue horses that are no longer wanted or cannot be cared for anymore by their owners.\n\n\n\nA Soldier's Way Back\n\n1st Sgt James Bryan is an American Army veteran reaching out to his brothers and sisters of all military branches\, past and present. His journey is ongoing and he too bares the scars.  1st Sgt Bryan started Safe Haven Rescue Center for you and I and anyone in need of comfort and love these beautiful animals can provide.  The horses also need the love and tender care that you can give back to them.  His hope is that this will make the journey back become a little easier.
